There are two memory tricks, (or mnemonics) to remember the names of the notes on the staff.

FACE is in the Spaces (or “faces in the spaces” if you prefer) That’s right, the names of the notes in the spaces are F – A -C-E. Get it?

Here it is with Emojis to really help it stick!

The 2nd mnemonic is for the notes on the lines of the staff

Which are: E-G-B-D-F

and it is:

Some people also say, “Every Good Boy Does Fine”

But really, you can make up any saying you want.
